Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

Favourite rum. So easy to drink with coke. Always have at home.
When I have a choice, I drink Morgan's Black before Kraken, but it's still really drinkable. With Coke or Dr. Pepper
Not for sipping but you can shoot it. At home if you like vanilla-flavored rum and Coke or other mixed drink.
Sweet and drinkable rum for very reasonable price. Now getting quite popular in bars and pubs...
This is a mainstay in my house. 1 out of two times I use this for a mean rum and coke for company I'm asked "what's in this?". It's half descent on it's own as well.
Color: Dark, like squid ink, because it's Kraken!
Nose: People say they get cinnamon, all I get is chocolate and coffee
Taste: Sweet vanilla with molasses and spices
For something you find in almost every shop (here in the UK anyway), it's a nice rum and doesn't taste as cheap as the other regulars of the corner shop shelf.
Decent rum, strong in flavours and packs a punch after 2 or 3
This spiced rum isn't my thing! Maybe as a mixer...?
I tried it neat and I was intrigued, I would like to taste it with cola
