Kraken Gold

This rum is nothing spectacular but it's totally decent. It's lower proof and less intense/less flavorful than the original Kraken. It's a little more smooth than the original Kraken as well. Ultimately, it's still a mass produced, mediocre rum, but it beats Captain Morgan (at the same proof) all to hell. It's easily worth a shot at a bar for the casual rum drinker.

vanilla - chocolate aroma, tastes very good after a nice lunch and hard working day

It was fine by itself, gonna buy a bottle cuz i like how it looks, but from my exposure to it, its perfectly drinkable, i tried it mixed and i tried it clean - Its ok

Tastes like sweet vanilla and coconut but feels watered down. Little to offer on the finish but tastes ok

I really enjoy this one, unlike his brother this one has a smooth almost sweet, mixing this with a Coke Zero is my go to drink for now. Cheers

I was krakens top guy. I was convinced I was like 2% of their annual income, but then they dropped this thing and ... It's a mess in my opinion. For reference, their base kraken was one of my favorites, and the lower proof kraken black was a good option for nights where I wanted to keep my wits about me, but have more than a single drink. This though? This just tastes like rubbing alcohol and harsh spiced rum had a baby. It may be good in different cocktails? But stay away if you are looking for something to sip or a simple rum/diet Coke.

Surprised how good this is. Wasn't expecting much but it's really not bad neat and in coke.

Sugar: 25GPL. It's a toned down version of the original. It's has less spice and seems to be more on the vanilla side of the taste profile. The Kraken spice is still there but it's less pronounced and would get lost in a fruit punch, so I would say it's good for those who like Kraken and Coke. It's drinkable on it's own straight up but I would prefer it over ice.
It's a cheap and cheerful spiced rum. There are better ones out there.

I had a curiosity of this rum. I bought a bottle and while I drank it, not my favorite. Back to original spiced for me.
