Nicaragua | Aged | 40% ABV | Column Still (1-4)
A sugar-free 12-year old, ultra premium rum that is sustainably produced (Carbon Neutral & Fair Trade certified). From a 5th generation family estate, it is naturally aged without artificial ingredients, distilled 100% with renewable energy and KOSHER certified. A full-bodied rum with a long and smooth finish that lingers in the palate. Best enjoyed in a Rum Old Fashioned or with a splash of premium sparkling water or ginger ale and an orange twist.

Not too sweet, very rich with caramel and oak notes, mahagony color.
Drank at 4th anniversary of Vesna.
Nice rum that has a good balance of natural sweetness and aging. Not as complex as other rums and comes with a burn that isn't as subdued as I wouldve liked compared to others. I would recommend this with a cube or granite stone.
Flor de Cana 12yo is the perfect transitional rum for those looking for a higher end aged rum without wanting to jump right to the expensive stuff. Not sweet, yet delicate and powerful all in one. Definitely recommend.
Typically, I value a low-to-medium range rum's applicability in cocktails in assessing its value. This Nicaraguan concoction isn't much to sneeze at when you mix it with citrus and syrups. However, there is something so charming about its mellow gifts on the tongue. As if the island was paying its respect to bourbon, comfy notes of vanilla, toffee, and mild oakiness coddle your taste-buds like a loving mother. When I want to relax or if I'm in the right mood, few things are as welcoming and satisfying as this bottle.
Not having tried any Flor de Caña rums before this, i didn't really know what to expect but what i got was a nice sweet and fresh rum with different tastes depending on served neat or on the rocks.
Caramel and vanilla notes over subtle oak, very drinkable either neat or with a mixer
I usually drink rum with a splash of Coke Zero and fresh lime. I tried this rum at a restaurant, so I mixed it with regular coke and lime. It was good and they made it like a mixed drink. Not spectacular, but a decent rum.
Nothing special and good the fill your cabinet. You get what you expect for this price and therefore nothing to be too happy or sad about!
This is a good leg up from the 7 year and while both are good this is definitely the better rum. Like it's younger sibling, it still has a small amount of bite (minimal burn) but overall, it's just a better rum. It's not very expensive but for equal or less money, I can get Appleton 12 year, which I prefer more but this is nevertheless, damn good stuff. Fairly dry and complex and worth buying at least once. You won't regret it!
'smooth and full of fruit and nut flavors'
"Flor de Cana 12-Year rum review by The Ultimate Rum Guide"
There is very little astringency or “booze” noted in the nose.
"A sip reveals a very smooth yet spicy rum. There is very little burn it tingles on the lips and tongue for a long time. It is a long finish."

A nice taste of vanilla, but a lingering aftertaste of hand sanitizer. Not my favourite.
