Cihuatan Xaman XO 16-Year

I don´t like it. It tastes like average 5yo rum, it really doesn´t taste like 16yo rum. It´s an error in matrix or I got a wrong sample?

Beautiful golden color. Sweet and fruity nose with mandarine, caramel and bitter herbs. Nice, light and sweet to the palate. Good stuff.

This rum is very fruity, honey flavoured with also sweet notes. Very very smooth and easy to drink. Only one downsize is that price.

Fruity aroma, also fruity, orange body, mild rounding.

Calendrier de l'avent 2021, jour 23. Wow, très bon rhum de dégustation. Le 2e que je goûte de cette cie et jamais déçu.

Typical great Cihuatan . It is unbeliavebly smooth, that it almost feel's like drinking rum flavoured water.

Normally I'd say this rum is a blast but for Cihuatan custom scale it's just normal stuff, at first I found my 9/10 rated awesome Cihuatan Nikte as lil' bit runder & tastier (sweeter, smoother, smell kinda reminds the same - strong honey and sweety vanilla tones), cheaper and IMO cooler packed (make no mistake though, Xaman design appears classy as well) but now I think these rums are +- equal and dependant on current taste, mood and chemistry of other stuff at the table.
While it may appear funny, 8/10 is in this case not a breathtaking result as I still don't see a reason next time to buy more bitter and more expensive shadow of the Great Nikté (which is really kinda similar quality and taste).

Výroční a sladší rum z produkce Gabriela Ayala.15ti leté zrání v sudech od bourbonu lze poznat na chuti. Bohužel tenhle první XO rum z produkce Cihuatan mě nijak neoslovila
