Ok this rum makes some fairly big claims and probably is not what it claims to be, however it tastes bloody good to me.
If it tastes good I’m happy and it has a nice bottle
Smooth and easy to drink as a complete new comer that doesn't like most rums.
I bought it online and the comments were great but unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations.
I když mám rád sladké rumy, tohle snad rum ani není. Je to nějaká sladká rumová tresť, kterou bych si ovoněl maximálně čaj. Do pečiva by byl také vhodný.
A fine run that in its finish, aroma and taste strives to be a Caribbean
The rum begins beautiful, starting with the strong, sweet and enticing smell. Some runs with fall dull at the next stage, however Don papa flavours completely chang from the initial taste into something so fragrant and nice
"The best damn rum that I've ever tasted..."

Smells a lot like a vanilla and lemonade ice cream float.
"For all its sweet sugariness, its really very drying and bitter on the palate once it all settles down."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I tasted the Don Papa about 8 years ago in a shop in my hometown. It's been some time ago, but the memory is very present. Bought some rum fresh from the barrel that day. Among other things, a 1999 Bellevue in Cask Strength. The owner was a real gourmet and you could philosophize with him about rum and whisky the whole day. In his shop, you could try the Don Papa, which was new on market at that time. I asked about the rum and he said that I am allowed to try, but he thought "that stuff" was very bad. And so it was. Artificial sugar-sweetened vanilla aroma dishwater. That is how I would sum it up. I will not forget how we talked about Rum that day. That Don Papa is a disgrace and that people who try this as their first rum are on the wrong track from the start. At that time i was encouraged to buy mainly natural rums. Meanwhile, the Don Papa and Botucal are the standard rum in german supermarkets. Everything else has already been said here. Glycerin, vanillin, sugar and who knows what else. To sum it up in the current populist language: Fake Rum!
