This rum has a very rich mouthfeel. Nice chocolate, milk, tabacco flavors. It has a long and smooth finish.
Not many $15 a bottle rums that can beat this. Happy a friend had this to share.

A little oak and a touch of butter to start. After a small amount of cinnamon and another taste I cannot quite figure out (fruit). A light burn/tingle on the lips and tongue but no real burn going down. A lingering taste of butter on the tongue. I liked it! And I would buy it again.

The bottle is a bit gimmicky, but this is a pretty tasty black rum. Also great for Dark & Stormies.

Dry and heavy on nail-polish. Tried this one in many forms and I didn't enjoy it at all, even in daiquiri. I guess white agricole ester rums just aren't my thing.
Tasted on Rum Love Festival 2024: it was just a bomb. Maybe not a hardcore ester-bomb, but my God, isn't it a perfect Jamaican blend, juicing all the best from that island. The price is too high though, 125 euro for a mix of 2005, 2007 and 2008 rums - not very high, but I'll wait a bit with buying a full bootle.
I guess it's a typical okayish sweet Asian rum. Taste like some sugar was added, but lacks depth of Plantation/Planteray rums. On the other hand it isn't bad, and it served me will in daiquiris and mojitos for my folks that isn't that much into heavy spirits.
Not too sweet, not too dry, full-bodied molasses rum. In the department of sweet rums, where Planteray/Plantation is a leader, this one is also an interesting one.
It's like a candy. Juicy, heavy on vanilla and caramel candy. Heavy to the point I'm starting to think, if this level of flavor can come fully naturally? Rum Nation got a nice reputation, so I want to believe it's just an effect of fermentation and 10-years aging.
Nevertheless, it's a good drink, though not the one I would come back to often. But I guess all the rum novice or sweet spirits enjoyers will love it.
Very good, a noticeably dry, rather raw that fruitful and flavorful. It's nice to get back to this one from time to time, but for an Jamaican rum lover like myselft, it's definitely not a go-to rum.
Navy-like, but not that heavy, not that "Jamaican". Very diverse palette, which is probable an effect of really good rum blending. And with the price above 40 euro... quite a winner. Of course you can go for Pusser's Overproof, but this one is just different and slighly, but noticeably better.

Appearance: medium honey
Aroma: orange, toffee
Flavor: citrus notes without being too sweet. Vanilla, likeable because it does not taste like extract
Notes: I think the adjuncts here have been managed well. I'm unclear about the quality of the base rum.
Tasted at Laka Lono on 8-18-24. Pours dark amber in color. For a spiced rum, there’s not much aroma here. Maybe some glass sanitizer smell? Equally disappointing flavor. Nutmeg and black pepper. Lots of bad vegetable flavors to the finish. Not sure what the point of this is.
A bit of orange peel on the nose. Restrained sweetness and easy on spices. Overall pleasant. Not sure it has a niche to fill.

Aroma: Velmi pronikavé - tinktura, spousta ovoce (ostružiny, borůvky, banány, broskve), vínová zatuchlina, rozkvetlé květiny.
Chuť: Med, zkvašené ovoce, pálivé koření, záchvěv esterů.
Dozvuk: Mediciálnost (léky), zkvašené ovoce a spousta sušeného ovoce (rozinky, švestky). Dlouhý.
Sladkost: 0/3
Ochutnán vzorek
Clarendon worthy parkovského střihu bez technikálií a nějakého překvapení. Tuctovka, na které ale není nic vyloženě špatného.
