Got a bottle during a trip last month. Wasn't expecting much, as so many other S.American rums tend to disappoint. However in this case I was pleasantly surprised as the profile is quite complex. The rum opens with the classical fruity notes of aged agricole, but it's quickly followed by a clear presence of very old molasses rum. The taste seems to stay forever with you, which I found very pleasant. In my opinion it's one of S.America's best rums I've tried so far.
A little oak and a touch of butter to start. After a small amount of cinnamon and another taste I cannot quite figure out (fruit). A light burn/tingle on the lips and tongue but no real burn going down. A lingering taste of butter on the tongue. I liked it! And I would buy it again.
It is not my favourite rum, but it wasnt bad, a little bit stronger, and that's why I quite liked it.
Starts with a touch of raisin, which changes quickly to strong oak flavour
Smells nice and gentle, tastes as same, but afterburn is very intense. I've enjoyed cherry tones and lot of fruits in taste. Very interesting rum.
Lighter in burn and body, strong oaky and bourbon tones and tail.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Smell is not so sweet. I smell fruits with strong sherry, but overall the smell is plain. Tastes better than smells. Fruity, little bit sweet, sherry with bitter kick. Oak at the end. My finish was not so long. Still good drink and interesting flavour composition.
