Average sweetand quite easy. Fruity taste with oak/wood, some coconut and honey. Nice but not a top rhum to drink.

Has some odd smokey notes. May not be to everyone's palate but I like it.

Nice rum too drink neat or with ice
This one is interested enough to drink it that way
Never mix with cocktail, unless it's a classy one

Tried both the Imperial and Onyx side by side last night.. Onyx wins.Both get an extra point for the presentation and price. Sharp alcohol vapours upon pouring but slowly disappear..Dry , whisky ish notes on the palate , smokey tones , only a little sweetness but sipable with an ice cube. Will just be a mixer for me. Only 38% , would like to be able to try a higher proof.

E o băutură de calitate clar. Rar mi a fost dat să gust ceva așa fin . Dar nu mi seamănă deloc a fi rom. L am băut cu un fan whisky și chiar asta a spus și el: un Whisky fin. I am dat 7 sunt sigur că el i ar fi dat mai mult )

It has some great flavours as described below (other tasters) but it isn’t quite developed enough to drink on its own.

Barcelo is a good sipper, not that much sugar. I find it better if i leave it to breathe a little after pouring it on my glass, if you drink it directly, the alcohol taste is much stronger than if you let it breathe a little. I will give it a 7 stars, on the same price range i prefer Plantation Gran Anejo which is a good 8 for me. Following by El dorado 12 and on the first place Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva
