Ron Zacapa XO Rum is produced in the highlands of Guatemala where it is distillled from fresh cane juice. The rum is then aged from 6 to 23 years at 7544 feet above sea level at 62 °F (17 °C) using the solera process. The solera aging process incorporates barrels that previously held American whiskeys, sherries, wines and Cognac
The unique Ron Zacapa XO glass decantur features an impression of a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle

Très emballé par ce rhum, malheureusement je viens de le terminer.
J'en rachèterai certainement, une valeur sure...
..som den 23 åringen fra Ron Zacapa. Kraftigere ettersmak og noe sterkere "spritsmak". Ville heller gått for 23 åringen
Deep color smooth tasty sweet rich but forgettable compared to others on same price/rating.
Great taste and finish.
Excellent aroma.
Pricey but it is well worth it
sin duda zacapa, su sistema de solera, su altitud. el buen hacer en el ron tiene un nombre y es este exponente.
Was echt een plezier om puur te drinken, zeer aangenaam in de mond
Now I will say, Zacapa is definitively overrated. They are strong in marketing but that is what you pay for.
I found this XO smooth but with lack of aroma, the burnt carry too long for me and overall didn't really enjoy it.
I ve got many rums, cheaper and much better than this one.

I am not sure if this is exactly the same rum as the other ratings listed here for Zacapa XO. There seems to be a few variants. Being an expensive run (I think nearly USD 200 duty free) I expect this to be great. I am disappointed to know that I first tried it with coke at a fancy restaurant/bar in Houston, but that was when someone else was buying I didn't know better. Now I have my own bottle unopened on the top shelf of my rum collection and I really look forward to finding an occasion to open it. Expecting this to be a 9 or 9.5 out of 10.

It is rich with coffee notes and a little tobacco.

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Schön weich, etwas Orange und Schokolade. Würzig, kräftig, Karamell, angenehm süss. Langer Nachhall. Im Vergleich zu anderen aber zu teuer.
