Ron Zacapa XO Rum is produced in the highlands of Guatemala where it is distillled from fresh cane juice. The rum is then aged from 6 to 23 years at 7544 feet above sea level at 62 °F (17 °C) using the solera process. The solera aging process incorporates barrels that previously held American whiskeys, sherries, wines and Cognac
The unique Ron Zacapa XO glass decantur features an impression of a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle

Delicate and smooth! I had to buy a bottle in Guatemala after I had a taste! Well done Guatemala!
Got this rum for my birthday and i took some time tasting it on several occasions. This is by far the best rum i've tasted so far, the first rum i had to tweak my normal coke and rum mix. I add a lot less cola to this rum, its so smooth and tasty that you want more of it. This tasted a lot better than the solera sistema from zacapa. Though they both have a certain i'll call it zacapa signature taste, i'm guessing its from the solera aging technique.
Btw: they changed bottle, the rum in my picture is in the new bottle.
A very good rum, but not as great as I expected it to be. A little bit too aggressive for me, besides that little "mistake" its very good. Great bottle presentation indeed.

This rum is very good. Very smooth, and loads of flavor. Has slight cognac finish due too aging process of XO in cognac barrels for last two years. My new favorite.
I love this Rum. Absolutely perfect for sipping with a nice coffee and a cigar
a little pricey but definitely worth trying a good sipping rum.
Beautiful bottle and great rum. A little on the strong side. Great for that special moment that you want to relax or share with special friends.
Tastes best after a few minutes and with large ice cubes. Not my favorite, but good enough to be at the top of my list.
Very dry, similar to a strong scotch.
nice rum that's on the sweeter side.
a bit more complex than the 23
great for sipping.

It is rich with coffee notes and a little tobacco.

Duften er en smule sprittet, sød med et strejf af tørret frugt og cognac.
Smagen er fantastisk. Den fylder hele munden på den fede måde. Lang og behagelig eftersmag.
