United States | Spiced | 35% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

Certainly not the best spiced I have tried. Vanilla is prominent and too sweet.
Its commercial stuff.Bacardi stays with the mixing only option.Godd with cola or in another mixing drinks.
Use ice to drink it straight. Its a good value rum.For me the best from Bacardi.
There's not much to it. It's very sweet and the only taste you'll get is the vanilla. If you're planning a party this is probably the rum, anybody can taste it and with a cola nobody is going to realise there is actuly alcohol int the drink.
Voor een goede koor rum is het een fijne rum, voor mij net iets te zoet.
I really liked Bacardi Oakheart mixed with cola. Cheap and easy to find. My bottle does look a bit diff than the one pictured though.
I like the oakey flavor. I stumbled across this when I first started getting into scotches, I like that oak barrel flavor. NOT A MIXER! Don't mix it with anything, tried with coke and with cider, ugh, no good.
Rhum à Cocktail, légèrement caramélisé, parfait pour le cuba libre !
Its not really a good sipper but very good in a blend.
Way too much vanilla in this rum which impacts the rum taste so much that you might forget you're drinking rum.
'oak barrels to impart a rich and smoky taste'
"Bacardi Oakheart rum review by The Ultimate Rum Shack"
Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. It’s a bit smoky and oily."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I enjoyed this rum but mixed it with cola. As a spiced rum there are others that I would pick ahead of this one. Captain Morgan Private Stock was superior for me.
