United States | Spiced | 35% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

Kind of sirup of vanilla, good after a dessert....
I usually dont drink Bacardi, but this was a nice "in a pinch" rum.
for a cheaper rum this is quite good mixed well and had a decent taste straight
That's very good to mix with coke. Spiced but not to much, nice bottle and smooth. Nice vanilla flavour.
Decent mixer and a cheap price. Nothing special about this rum
First spiced rum that I tasted and I really enjoyed it. With this price range, I'd say this is really good value for money.
Not a huge fan of Bacardi rums at the lower levels, but got a great deal while on a cruise and decided to try some of their other offerings. Oakheart is actually a pretty good spiced rum. Definite vanilla nose, but the taste isn't overpowering like Captain Morgan's Private Stock. Flavor is great with just enough vanilla to bring out the sweet along with tastes of cooking spices and just a hint of oakiness. It does have a bit of harshness that doesn't lend it well to sipping straight, but it pairs very well with cola and is even better with Dr. Pepper.
'oak barrels to impart a rich and smoky taste'
"Bacardi Oakheart rum review by The Ultimate Rum Shack"
Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. It’s a bit smoky and oily."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This is by far the best mixing rum I have tasted, it has a good taste together with a cola, and then the price is just great. I will always have this one on the shelve, for days where a cold rum and cola is required :-)
