United States | Spiced | 35% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

This is an OK spiced rum. Better than Capt. Morgan spiced for mixers. Not good for sipping. I've found much better choices and see no reason to buy this.
Un bon rhum pour se faire le célèbre cubalibre. Perso je mets du rhum, du Coca-Cola, le jus d'un demi citron vers et un peu de sirop de sucre de canne tout ça avec des glaçons.
Great mixer. Much better than Captain or Sailor. Try it If you are looking for spiced one with great value for money.
Not bad, especially with cola, quite ok actually..
Tasty solo or with cola. This was on sale so I gave it a try. My wife likes it very much with cola, even better then Bacardi 8. I also like it, it drinks like lemonade.
Dette er en rom som er bedst blandet med andet smagen ren er kun ok
I frown upon purchasing Bacardi rums because of the fact that they are such a conglomerate and produce mass quantities of rum. Usually, when you think in terms of quantity, something has to be sacrificed. Almost always it's quality!
Having said this, their Oakheart product is not bad. Obviously, vanilla is the predominant note followed by baking spices, caramel, brown sugar, marshmallow and oak with some dried fruit thrown into the mix.
It is pretty smooth though on the sweet side with little burn.
In a way this reminds me somewhat of Pink Pigeon from the Mauritius.
Not bad as a mixer but less desirable as a rum to enjoy neat.
Good to mix with coke or cherry 7-up. Spiced but not to much prominent vanilla flavour.
We bought few bottles of this rum as cheap but fancy collection of hard liqueur for big birthday party and it was the first kind that ran out. Good with coke, as a shot with friends during the night, not a sipper, but this was made for different purpose. For the money it made us good service
'oak barrels to impart a rich and smoky taste'

Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. It’s a bit smoky and oily."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

My first rating ever because this rum is being underrated. I was looking for a mixer and this worked for me. The first three drinks with cola and then ginger ale the rest of the night. I like to finish an entire bottle before I make up my mind but no need to, I'll be buying this again.
