Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

Not so bad for mixing, if you are low budget. Maybe the best choice for this price.

Ok if you mix it with rum...but pure not recommend at all.
Niet best spul. Stap hoger dan de witte standaard variant maar voor het geld zijn er talloze merken met veel betere rum.
Its a sweet, underproof, spiced rum. It does what it's intended to do quite well, and seeing as you can pick up a bottle for $10, the price is right. My mom sips it to help clear her throat when she has a cold, and often comments on how smooth it is.
This one is just a bit below the Captain Morgan gold spiced. But it has a nice taste with some coke.
Oakheart is not really good as a sipper but as a Cuba Libre base it's nice. Very pleasant smell.
Ok, i have to say, i don't like specid rums. They are not natural and thats a big dislike for me. Oakheart is to sweet and the artificial flavours becomes annoying after more than 1.
This rum its a good option for the Cubas libres, it has a good quality!
