United States | Spiced | 35% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

Stragetically is was remarkable to bring this rum on the market. Bad taste
Take just any cheap base rum, add colorants and (artificial) flavour and voila, there's you're Oakheart.
A widely available spiced rum and for the price it goes awesome with cola. Can be a bit sweet but with a lemon slice it makes it a very nice drink and at the low price it’s a great buy.
Vanilla and spice scent then slight caramel.
Taste is pleasant with vanilla & spice on top notes, then caramel and toffee finish. Nice to drink neat.
Of course this is never meant to be a sipper, but it's so sweet that it's unusable for cocktails as well. Only works with coke and a big splash of lime.
Nice mixer rum, best with coke, quite sweet not overly spiced either but easily drinkable
Pretty decent rum, about as much as you’d expect from a $25 handle
Tried Bacardi Oakheart and was pleasantly surprised. A mellow spiced rum liqueur with a pleasing flavour of oak barrels and spices. It's no Rumbullion but a good rum on a budget.
'oak barrels to impart a rich and smoky taste'
"Bacardi Oakheart rum review by The Ultimate Rum Shack"
Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. It’s a bit smoky and oily."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Decent rum, good fort mixing but maybe a little bit too much added flavors
