Pyrat XO Reserve

Nice this one, really smooth and nice sweetness which had slight afterburn. The finish was a little dissapointing as it was very minimal. One thing to puzzle me was the orange taste which I couldn't decide was either nice or artificial, it bemused me. I only had a small 30ml measure so would like a few more to really make up my mind.

Pyrat XO is not your typical rum, some may even say it has an acquired taste. It begins with a beautiful brown sugary sweetness which quickly gives way to a full on citrus blast of zest, ending with a light warm burn.

It’s something different and interesting and has great value at its price point.

Nice rum for the price, different taste than others rum. Hint of citrus.

A very light, thin, sallow coloured rum with a sweet mild scent. Has the taste of a good rum accented by a flavour of orange honey blossom. Nice apperitif or dessert drink. Fine neat. I purchased a 375ml for 13$ in Florida. Enjoy!

aromas of diacetyl and sharp alcohol. Has some vanilla and sweet orange peel taste and aroma A ok sipping rum. Best used in cocktails. There are many better rums to sip.

It reminds me on a Grand Marnier.
very similar to A.H. Riise rums but not as good. orange marmelade dominates over everything.

dieser Rum wurde mir von Bekannten empfohlen - mit dem Hinweis, dass der Orangengeschmack sehr intensiv ist. Nach dem ersten Verkosten muss ich feststellen, dass der Pyrat XO jetzt einer meiner Lieblingsrums ist. Der dominierende Geschmack nach Orange ist sicher nicht jedermanns Sache, aber mir schmeckt es einfach.

To much spices, but I think, its for special savours.
