My liquor store is upping it's rum game, I found this one and gave it a try. Pretty smooth with some fruitiness. For $30 not bad

I was very surprised by its smoothness in this price level. at the first tasting i had it head to head with zacapa 23 solera, but this one is definitely better. in taste as well in smoothness. bang for that price! comes in nice leather pouch.

I bought this a while back and it has been sitting on the shelf waiting for it's turn. Little someone the people said the alcohol smell is a bit present at first but a little air lets the oak aroma take it's place. Not too sweet and just strong enough once you taste it.Not actually a mixer but excellent with some ice.

Bought this on the recommendation a while ago, from the shop owner. i think the selling point was, " if you dont like the rum, you have a chamois to wash the car".
No need to use the very attractive chamois, i found the rum to be very smooth and mellow. Not too much in the alcohol smell, dark brown and oak flavour stands out.
Ice only for this rum, too good to mix.
kept the case as a souvenir.

In line with most of the positive reviews. For me a rum to sip and smoke a cigar on a nice summer evening.

Nice flavor composition with hints of brown sugar, caramel, vanilla, oak, nuts and dried fruits. Enjoyable as a mixer but better as a mid range sipper.

Nose: In the beginning alcohol after a few minutes vanilla, oak, sweet
Taste: sharp, oak vanilla, not to sweet
Finish: nice aftertaste

Straight or over 1 large ice cube, this is great to mellow-out of an evening. A dollop in your black coffee isn't bad, either

i bought this rum for 20 EUR. No complaint in this consideration. Not sure if that will increase the situation of folks in Venezuela but yes... that is also a good choice.
