Single blended 5 year old rum made from estate grown sugar cane juice and molasses, aged in American Oak and Chiapas oak and infused with locally sourced organic cacao. Deadhead Dark Chocolate rum has the same luxurious texture of Deadhead with an added delight of dark, but not bittersweet, chocolate.

This is a solid rum. The scent is a very strong dark chocolate, like a cup of hot Cocoa. No strong alcohol scent. When drinking it there is no burn. It’s not as sweet as I thought it would be it’s very smooth with a strong cocoa essence. I’m a chocolate lover so will be purchasing a full bottle of this.
Flavored rum with strong notes of vanilla and chocolate. This feels more like a cordial than a rum.
An exceptional chocolate rum, that somehow restrains the sweetness, perhaps by the dark chocolate flavor. This is a must have for my Bar stock...
From the aroma to the taste to the finish, I didn't want to like this rum but it was enjoyable

Right away the smell is very strong - like cocoa pebbles and cream cheese cake frosting. The flavor is smooth and very sweet - again of cocoa pebbles and liquid icing. Drinking dessert! If you want a smooth and very sweet rum, almost a liquor, look no further. I will say, it does not have that cloying aftertaste of most overly sweet rums. Also, unique bottle!
Didn’t really know what to think of this. Upon visual inspection, beautiful amber/caramel color. The nose has a very powerful chocolate smell with a bit of alcohol on the end. The flavor has wonderful chocolate and butterscotch flavors with a little burn on the finish. The flavors are more natural and aren’t overpowering.
In terms of consumption, I could only see this used in ice cream based drinks or in desserts. Still impressed with the overall product.

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Tastes like cheap cocoa (the one you can buy in "juice boxes" ready to drink without fresh milk), sweet, noticeable alcoholic note.
