Single blended 5 year old rum made from estate grown sugar cane juice and molasses, aged in American Oak and Chiapas oak and infused with locally sourced organic cacao. Deadhead Dark Chocolate rum has the same luxurious texture of Deadhead with an added delight of dark, but not bittersweet, chocolate.

dancing on a thin line between liquor and rum. Strong chocolate taste, sweet but in the end quite enjoyable to sip.
6,5:On the nose, there's no mistaking the goods: there's plenty of chocolate, as if cocoa powder had been diluted in the rum. There's also a very smooth, creamy, almost milky quality, giving this rum a very gourmand, regressive character.
Aeration doesn't alter the profile at all, perhaps more a very sweet side and a certain suave roundness from the vanilla and caramel.
6,9:The palate is very smooth, but we're pleasantly surprised by a little relief that avoids the trap of too much roundness. The chocolate borrows a little of the coffee's character, without betraying its promise of deliciousness.
6:The finish is a mocaccino-style blend of chocolate and coffee.
Vůně: Silně vanilka, čokoládová náhražka, nugátová pochoutka, lihová, slaboučký náznak dřeva a něčeho špinavého (tabáku?)
Chuť: Jako vůně. Moc vanilky, umělé čokolády a nugátu, lihová, sladká
Dochuť: Mizivá, náznak sudu, sladká, umělá vanilka
Tak jako na pohár...🙄

so you see the bottle and wonder if the contents stick out as much as the bottle. MORE!! i wouldn't hesitate to add this to the end of a flight of rums with my friends to end a wonderful evening together.

It is very smooth due to lower alcohol percentage. There is no trace of whisky barrels as in the unflavored version. There is not much depth in it but the taste of cacao. It does not offend but it doesn't blow away either. My grandmother would have liked it for sure. The bottle does look good on the shelf but the price premium is not worth of this bar decoration.
Well one can definitely smell the cacao. Tastes if chocolate and flowers. Only problem is its obviously sweet and can't be drank in excess. Of course if you like flavoured rums then this is the premium one for you.
Yet another example of form over content. If it wasn't for bottle, it would be really hard to sell this "rum". Tastes like vodka with A LOT of sweeteners and even more cocoa. No taste of rum found.

In the bottle tasted on 8-3-24. Gifted bottle thanks to Jeff K. Pours a light brown golden color. Aroma of a malted milk chocolate milkshake. Big chocolate taste. Maple syrup and hazelnuts. Mild tingle to the finish. Thin in body for so much sweetness.
