Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

Looking at the colour I thought this was going to be a dislike, however it’s one of my favourites, blended lovely, I’m not a neat rum person but I can get away with this neat

This rum is very smooth to my opinion, even tough it tastes a bit stronger then most rums. Love the flavours of cinnamon and caramel. It tastes also sweeter then the average rum

The producers of Kraken Black Spiced rum have worked hard to incorporate their "11 secret spices" to create a very sweet and molasses forward rum. If spiced rums are your thing this may be in your rotation.
Sweet and strong taste of spices. Not a rum for a whole night of drinking but still good if you like to discover flavors and all ingredients in it. I specifically like the shape of the bottle. color is really dark.
Funky bottle, but average on flavour. Nice with coke and ice but better and cheaper alternatives are widely available.
