Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

Like a Kracken this rum grabs you and won’t let go. Didn’t find anything smooth about it. Not terrible, but certainly harsh.
I will say it is flavorful!
My brother had a bottle of this rum in his cabinet. I recommend you mix this rum.
Tasty, strong but smooth. I usually mix with Coke or ginger beer.
Enjoyed this rum with diet coke, the bottle is fab and the rum is ok but personally I prefer the taste of captain Morgans.
It has a solid taste, it just didn't fair well with me. Rough night...But I think when I get my wits about me I will try it again. And as Earl below says, "not a sipping rum." Totally agree and great advice with this rum.
A nice rum for an outdoor party although it's pretty strong. Colour is nice and dark, the flavour is pretty sweet with a thinner syrup like pour. The spice is certainly there.
Not a rum I would buy again. Like the colour, the name and the bottle. It has a nice taste but it's a one time fling.
Dark is good but it gives me a headache so Im not super inclined to get it. Someone has it ill drink it type thing
the body is very strong we would recommend for mixing not sipping goes down hard.
