Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

This is a rather average spiced rum. Probably made more popular due to its bottle design and label graphics.

One of the only spiced rums I will drink. Yes it has very bold and sweet flavors, but they can easily be manipulated into a delicious cocktail.
Generally I’m not a fan of dark rums, this one peaked my interest in the store and gave it a try. I wouldn’t buy it again but it definitely had a thicker more pungent taste than the smoother gold rums I’ve had.
With one smell of this rum you can already get the taste. Really sweet not a fine smell. The taste is not bad but again too sweet. Not really rum bit Sugar syrup.
A bottle I've been gifted more than once by people who know I'm "into rum". There's a place for it, but I can't recommend spending your own money to get it.
It felt a lot cheaper than its price would suggest. At this price you can get significantly better rums, in both the spiced and pure rum category.
Aye it’s good can do straight and with coke Dr Pepper is one as well
Dark and sweet. Nothing fancy but great taste for rum starters

Quite a sweet rum, but tasty at the same time. I tried it once and I'd love to come back to it at some point.
