Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

Mixes very well with cola and is a go too for a cheap dark/spiced rum. Love it.
My colleague wanted me to try it so he brought by a bottle.
The smell is Ok, but nothing special.
The taste pure is way to alcoholic and not recommended. With Coke though totally fine and actually tasty (Please add lime slices and juice)...spicier than my favorite mixer -》 Pampero Aniversario in its leather pouches:)

a good looking bottle that you should add to your shelves.
It's not bad for what it is. I'm not really a soft drink-liquor-mixing kinda guy, but i use this to make my guests a rum&cola if they request one. I find these way better than e.g. Bacardi or Havana club. It's good but it's nothing to be blown away by.
Good rhum for beginners, lots of flavor but really sweet and not complex.
Holy Kraken definitely not a sipping rum mixes well with just about anything but just remember once you release the Kraken it will get you

Excellent rum for mixers, wouldn't drink it neat personally but should be in everyone's cabinet
since it is now affordable here - it is in my Top 5.
(real pity I missed the (3rd) limited ceramic bottle, since the &*%#*!s don't send to Poland) :(
