Kraken Black Spiced Rum was first introduced by Proximo Spirits in 2010 . The dark rum is infused with 11 “secret” spices, caramel and other natural flavors.
The rum gets its name after the mythical sea creature 'The Kraken'. As legend has it, this terrifying creature attacked ships at sea during the 18th and 19th centuries - possibly for all the rum on board.

Deze rum eerst puur geprobeerd. Dat was geen succes. Erg sterke alcohol smaak. In een mix met cola wel erg goed te doen!
It's like drinking Captain Morgan dark rum with vanilla essence. The base rum is mediocre and the flavouring over done.
It's pleasant mixed with coke / ginger ale, but definitely not a sipper and not one I'd go out of my way to buy.
There are better spiced rums on the market at this price point.
Bottle design - first class, rest - leave it as a mixer, still I think I will buy it for a family meeting for fun

I prefer on ice but it's good mixed. Keep in in the freezer. Bottoms up!
Kraken is a serviceable mixer, blending amicably with most vehicles. Not a fan of it as a sipper, just a bit too harsh for my tastes. Decent stable rum to have around, but not for the crowds you’re trying to impress.
It's just spiced rum - not very easy on the rocks (after trying authentic rum), but good with coke.
how on earth this has a good rating is beyond me... a friend bought this once after falling for the hype and they truly regretted it.. I tried to warn them it would be bad.. just a mess of a rum... black, watery, artificial sweet... gross...

Asi není problém se potopit s tímto Krakenem, ale především v míchaných nápojích. Něco mi na něm nesedí a nepomůže tomu ani doutník. Anýz, vanilka dobrý do buchet.

Use in a Dark ' n Stormy of the commercial bar variety when catching-up with your Bud drinkin buddies. Unless they tease you for ordering a cocktail. Then you leave the drink for them to try and go home to drink something better.
