Diplomatico Mantuano

A pub in my home town keeps a bottle of this behind the bar, and as such i have found myself fairly regularly ordering this rum with a ginger ale mixer, and it is a great combination for a reasonable price.
I have tried it neat and it is perfectly sippable no one taste overpowering the overall mix, lightly spiced, hints of caramel, dark chocolate, treacle all combine to make it very palatable. Some may call it bland, I call it well balanced.

Reserva Esclusiva is better, but it is a nice rhum to sip too. Balanced

Nice on the nose and body 🤷‍♂️ Not too strong ... Classic dark one ... It is ok but nothing special ...

I enjoyed this one pure, even though it had a strong alcohol aftertaste. For me this aftertaste actually came out perfect with cola, so one of my fav choices to mix with.

Im on the search for rather cheap, but still enjoyable rums, when I come across this Diplomatico on sale for 23 EUR. And for this price its a really great rum for my taste! Never had any other Diplomatico, but I havent regret to try this one.

Drinkable, but more of a mixer in my opinion, not that i mix..

A little immature Rum.. Total difference to 12Y . Taste of vanilla, plums, wood.

Diplomatico Mantuano - oproti klasické reserve je drsnější.

Semmi sallang, csak selymes, édeskés, kissé vaníliás, valódi rum íz. Nekem ez jobban ízlik, mint az R.E... Ár-érték arányban az egyik legjobb.

Patří mezi sladší rumy (i když ne tak moc jako např. Millonario, Don Papa, atd.), na druhou stranu "nesrší" žádnými ovocnými či kořenitými tóny.
