Diplomatico Mantuano

Won't repurchase this one, too boring and there is certainly a plethora of compatition in its price level. Got a glass again recently, not interesting rum for me anymore, the taste is surprisingly crappy, no flavor, just ethanol. It's not particularly cheap either

The immediate odour is sweet and light.
The taste is pleasant enough but I was struck with a sense of one-dimensional taste. No complexity. The flavor is essentially a bit boring. Strong alcohol taste and prolonged after taste. It overall is average for me. For $45.00 CND there are better choices available in Ontario. Rating: 6.5

Decent rum with a strong alcohol feel on the nose. Not bad at this price range

Pretty good, vanilla flavor, some sweetness, but a bit sharp

Good for sipping with an ice cube, when you are looking for something sweet (not way too sweet like others, though). A little too parfume for my taste.

Sweet with deep arrak flavour and hints of orange and cinnamon

But tastes better as the price let you think. Can be drunken pure or mixed

Placená náhrada místního rumu Arehucas Carta Oro, který byl v baru hotelu zdarma. Chutnal o něco lépe něz rum zadarmo, ale kdybych ochutnal místní Arehucas White hned první den, mohl jsem si ušetřit peníze za tento rum. Zdá se mi to jako takové sladké pití na dlouhý nudný večer. Ochutnal jsem, ale více jej nemusím.

Reminds me a bit of Flor de Cana 18, as it’s not as sweet as the Diplomatico Exclusiva (which I personally enjoy more).
Still recommend this rum as I enjoyed it enough to buy a few more bottles.
