This is a good beginners rum.
Nose: Bananna and spirit. Spirit whays off after a while.
Taste is sweet and round. But not that complex. Good strong taste and for 300dkkr is it a good way to find out if you're into rum or not. Ofcause not all rum tastes the same, but rum dosen't taste like e.g. whiskey or burbon.
One of my first sipping rums. Very good rum to introduce to a new rumdrinker. It's quite agreeable and smooth overall. A great go to rum.
Beautiful green, mat finish bottle with lots of small details on the, stamp/ dollar bill - like label.
Pop the cork and it reveals sweet prunes, port wine, caramel, dark chocolate, orange.
In the glass - Very dark amber color and beautiful legs.
Nose - Honey, burned caramel, candis, a hint of orange.
Taste - Smooth on entry, fruity, prunes, burned caramel, vanilla, woody/oak and dark chocolate finish.
Lovely smooth rum. Sweet, but not overly sweet. My expectations were high, and I must admit, this rum did not disappoint. Beautiful nose and taste in a lovely bottle leaves me reaching for it time and time again.
My standard rum. There's always some of this in the hiuse.
This Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva is one of the most famous brands of South American Rums with a lot of Awards. If you want to start to try some very good aged rums, you must try this one first. For someone the taste may be very sweet, but for most beginners of rum drinkers is this sweetness OK and welcome.
A great rum for people who are starting out. Very easy on the wallet, and the pallet. Classic sweet Hispanic flavours.
læker sød rom med masser af nuancer. God begynder rom, og en rom man med glæde vender tilbage til.
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

My first rum advised by the site:

No problem as with the wines, aged rums are very different with the traditional white rum.
The great diplomatic reserve for me it is a lot of vanilla (a little too well and that is why it is noted 8/10) caramel and some exotic fruit ...
