I'm a beginner with sipping rum's and this is the best I had so far.
It's nice and smooth and and a very nice start to get in to sipping rum's for me.
I wil keep on buying other sipping rum's, but I think I will buy this one more in the future.
I really like this rum because of it's semplicity. It's just sweet like a candy and it's a rum that I'd like to drink every day
Very easy to drink. One dimensional though. Heavy on chocolate. Good drink for when you are trying to get someone into drinking rum.
A family that does not drink, brought this to a dinner party at my house based on some sage advice from a wine merchant. I'm still seeking this sage to thank him.
Dark Rum with balanced sweetness, that was enjoyed by everyone that tried it at our party.
An indispensable rum to his collection! I put a 8 only because there is certainly rum that I could not pay me that still deserve better.
My very first sipping rum ! fantastic taste of caramel and chocolate . Very smooth almost liquid desert , its sweet but not sickly and does not get so even on glass 3 !! Tried it also with a decent cola and also a ginger beer , a waste of time as it kills the taste on both of them. So a sipper it is but with a ice cube or two in my opinion.
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

The rums I drink the most often are stored on my bar's countertop. The premiums and ones I paid a higher price for are stored down below. This is a very good rum and the Venezuelan taste is somewhat different than the rest. I know I prefer most Barbados rums over most Jamaican rums, but I can't really decipher all of the others. I applaud and appreciate those reviewers that can sniff the flavors and describe the legs. I rely on you for recommendations. I have only tried a few based on a liquor store salesperson.
