Mkt bra len, mkt smaker, lite bet.................................
Quite nice. Try it. Tasty spirit and not too sweet.
I still haven’t had anything taste as amazing as this one for around the same price. This one is a keeper in every way.
Byl první se kterým jsem se dostal do světa rumů. Sladší za rozumný peníz. Rád se k němu vracim
This rum is a must try for people who enjoy rum. I always keep it on my shelf. A great sipping rum, and one of my favorites with a cigar.
For years I have thought of wanting to get into rums, ever since I was talking to a stranger about rums in a bar in Bangkok. Earlier this year I bought a Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva from a clearance sale. Since then I cannot go back to not drinking rum. This particular one made me want the working day to finish faster so I can het home and taste the sweet nectar.
Another sweet and smooth rum. Could drink it like candy for an entire evening. On sip easily takes another and before you know it half a bottle is gone.
DRE was my very first sipping rum and it was a great place to start. Sweet and approachable, smooth going down, with just enough tingly burn to remind you it’s a rum and not some syrupy liqueur. The nose is a bit modest, but the taste is a nice caramel butterscotch with some dark fruit and honey. Flavors fall a bit flat compared to other rums I’ve tried since, but I’m thinking I’ll keep a bottle of this around for guests and as an effortless and economical sipper.
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Rum comes in a matte green bottle with real cork. The color of rum is dark amber.
After pouring, the rum smells of vanilla, caramel, cane sugar, dark chocolate and raisins. Alcohol does not sting the nose.
The taste is sweet, but somehow pleasant. It's definitely not a too much sweet rum. The taste again smells of vanilla, chocolate, honey, caramel and slightly citrus. The aftertaste is a slight smell of wood. However, the aftertaste is not long or intense.
Much has already been described here about this rum. It is one of the most famous rums in the world. Very suitable for beginners and lovers of sweeter rums. I also tasted it as one of my first rums. I take it as such a border benchmark and I generally divide rums into those that are qualitatively below and above it.
