Creamy and rich with heavy notes of molasses and toffee. The reserva evolves well across the palate with light citrus and vanilla. Sips well with or without ice, allowing for control of the syrupy thick mouth feel, which can feel a little sickly when it's hot.
I am never without a bottle of Reserva in my cabinet, a strong staple and great for introducing people to the concept of a sipping rum.
Inexpensive and high quality, the Reserva deserves a try. If you're looking for a strong contender for your go to sipper and you haven't tried a Reserva, you won't regret it.
My girlfriend bought it for valentines, its both full of flavour and smooth, one of the most sweet ones i have tasted yet. Very good.
The flavouring of this rum, combined with how smoothly it goes down, compared with the price is quite unbelievable.
This is my go to recommendation when people ask for a good rum. It doesn’t blow their budget and introduces them to run with quality flavour.
A great rum, good standard in the rum world. It's a little bit too sweet but pleasant.
It's not a typical natural rum, but if you are new to rum, try this one. Maybe it opens the door to the rum world for you.
Smell: It starts with caramel, dried fruit (plum), wood, some vanilla, sweetness, and a lot of ripe banana.
Taste: sweetness, caramel, ripe banana, raisins, caramel
Finish: spice, burnt sugar, raisins, banana (all in good proportion).
That's what makes it so popular. A nice rum for sweet rum lovers. Price is also very good.

nice, woody taste. not too alcoholic. ok for its price
I wanted to like this. I heard so many good things. Three tastings and it’s still hard to get past the sweet, sticky, almost tarry taste. Others have said it’s a liqueur. I would agree. But I’ll keep trying. Maybe thinned with more than the cube of ice that’s in there now.
Best rum for daily drink, I'm so lucky for found this
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Fine rhum, not to sweet not to strong. A rhum I would like to taste again.
