Trinidad and Tobago | Aged | 40% ABV
Angostura 1919 rum is produced in Trinidad by blending a combination of light and heavy molasses distilled rums. These rums spend at least 8 years aging in American oak bourbon barrels.
The name Angostura "1919" refers to the event in 1932 when Angostura's distillery was destroyed by fire. Miraculously, a handful of barrels filled with rum from 1919 survived and were purchased by J.B. Fernandes - the master blender of Fernandes Distillers.

Great Sipper. taste similar to the 5 years just stronger overall. with hints of tobbaco which is pleasent.
round 40$ in my neck of the words and id buy it again when i run out. fantastic sipper.
Morbidissimo, il dolce non è fastidioso mascherato dai sapoi vanigliosi e banana. Va giu come niente.
Final long sec et fumé

Very nice from start to finish. Nice on the nose and no burn on the finish. Easy sipping rum...
Good It's a good sipping rum... There are hints of oak, and vanilla. I truly enjoy it, please try
Bourbon drinker. The slightly sweet aroma with the molasses backdrop... is very nice. The oak comes through. I like it!!!
Great okay vanilla notes. Good for sipping but better in an old fashioned
Good rum is surprisingly hard to find in the UK outside of airports and mail order deliveries. As such I was pleased to find that Sainsburys stocked this rum in their stores. That remains its greatest redeeming feature! It's not a bad rum, and I sipped my way through the bottle, but it is remarkedly average. I accept that rum is a very personal thing and that tastes differ, but I am very much surprised by how well this rum fairs in the reviews. There's certainly much better out there

There is a little “oak and smoke” and a very small scent of fruit.
"The rum is very smooth with notes of oak, cocoa and vanilla. Perhaps a little banana but very subtle."

Full off nuts and vanilla flavor. This rum has a special taste you like or not at all. It's not an every day rum, but absolutely one to have in the cabinet for some moments you are in for something different.
