Cihuatan Artesano Pineapple 10-Year

Appearance: light gold
Aroma: this rum smells like a fortune cookie, fresh from the wrapper
Flavor: candied, smoked pineapple 🍍
I'm really enjoying this rum, perhaps because it is not overly sweet. The pineapple flavor is evocative of thick grilled pineapple slices basted with a brown sugar sauce and caramelized.

Tasted at Laka Lono rum club on 11-7-23. Amber gold in color. Very pronounced pineapple aroma, but that’s the best part. In fact the pleasant aroma reminds me of a pineapple upside down cake. Unfortunately the flavor is oddly chemical and unpleasant.
