Zaya Gran Reserva Rum is a blend of molasses-based rums distilled in a five-column still and aged in white oak barrels for up to 12 years.
Zaya rum was initially distilled by Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala in Guatemala. The brand was acquired in 2008 by Infinium Spirits and is now produced in Trinidad and distilled by Angostura.

Its a very flavorful rum. I usually pour it for guest if they haven't been exposed to aged rums. It does taste like they add a bit of sugar.
Jemný rum, který je sladký, ale zároveň je konec cítit po kávě a tabáku.
Pro me velice zajímavý rum s výraznější chuti po koňaku. Komu tahle chuť vyhovuje, tak at neváhá. Já radši ale příště sahnu po jiném. Zkušenost dobra, ale za ty peníze jednou stačilo :)

Ranked 7.5 on my scale, but the bottles here are never half full. Another big box special. Quite enjoyed the molasses the more I sipped this rum.
Den er lidt bedre end en almindelig standard rom og koster også lidt mere. Den er ok
The vanilla taste takes to much room. For the price ok but you must like vanilla!
I'm not an expert but this rum has become one of my favorites love the caramel like flavour neat or for using as a treat in a dark and stormy or modified manhattan.
Caramel, caramel, caramel. Such a nice sweet rum.
