Thanks so much for submitting a report. It has been emailed to the Rum Captain and will be actioned shortly.
I should have read the bottle as it is less uniquely spiced and more a pina colada, just add water. Its Pineapple and Coconut rum with a dash of cinnamon. Not something anyone could drink straight as it is extremely sweet. A good rum if you want cocktails by saving money on half the ingredients. Comes in at a bit of a steep price for what is pretty much a fancy cocktail mix. I would say 'spiced' is a term used incorrectly, as its more like a fruit flavoured rum. Glad I tried it, sad I didn't read the label, and satisfied I've done a rating so can now give the bottle away.
Mediocre. Smooth but lacking in flavour. Woody flavour, nothing special
Sweet with notes of vanilla and chocolate. Easy drinking sipper
Good heat and spice from the bourbon casks. Notes of banana
Decent rum but maybe not worth the cost. Molasses and spices, medium finish. Good blend of flavours
Not complex at all. Tastes like sweet vanilla syrup. Not bad if you're for something very sweet but would be better served in a dessert cocktail as opposed to a rum sipper.
7:The nose is very sweet, opening with notes of banana candy, caramel. This confectionery rum announces a very bubblegum spirit, with peach syrup and a hint of grenadine, pear. Aeration takes us to even sweeter notes of cinnamon and vanilla, with the powderiness of a marshmallow.
6,2:The palate is round and sweet, with a slightly spicy barley-sugar flavor, caramel. The banana candy melts into a syrup scented with toasted oak, pear and develops into roasted notes (coffee).
6:The finish is still round, sticky and roasted.
8,5:The nose is very sweet, and built on a strongly toasted, very toasted, roasted cask. The nuts have been flame-blackened, and deliver notes of sweet spices and toast as they cool.
With aeration, the very dark profile of this rum takes on the nuances of aged eau-de-vie, with notes of cherry pit, prune and very candied vegetal. Finally, the oak opens its fiber to reveal typical vanilla and sweet caramel aromas.
8,6:The palate is very smooth and syrupy, and caramel covers the palate in no time at all. The toasted, roasted notes then take hold of the taste buds, flowing in all directions, and the sensation of alcohol is virtually absent.
8,5:This sweet liqueur finishes with licorice molasses and concentrated caramel.

Keep up the good work Stefan!!! These days, it is too risky for me to try any more new rums. I usually get stuck with duds....
Estery, lepidlo, odlakovač, šťavnaté citrusy, ananas, banán, ocet. Konečné přitvrzujeme.
V chutí sladkost a všechno výše vyjmnenované, koncentrovane.
Šťavnatý citrus, estery, lak, exotické ovoce, melasa. Chuť to kopíruje, ale zas mám n jazyku víc melasy a zemitosti než ovoce, lehká hořkost. Dochuť velmi příjemná.
Odlakovač, estery, Ananas, banán, maracuja, cirtusy, lehká zemitost. V chutí zemitost a dominuje melasa a přídává se ovoce.
Zemitost, melasa, citrusové plody, maracuja. Chuť to kopíruje, ale ustupuje ovocnost a zůstavá víc melasy. Dochuť příjemná
Rumové pralinky, šťavnaté citrusové plody, maracuja, banán, lehounce dřevo, melasa - voní nádherně.
Chuť je zemitější, hodně melasová s lehounkymi estery
Tasted on 7-14-21 thanks to Admiral Bill. Pours octopus ink black. Aroma is sulfurous a bit like a black strap. Thin in body for my liking, notes of chocolate and chicory. A bit of coffee. Finishes quite bitter. This would be a good rum to have on hand when a black rum is called for as a float or a non-flavoring ingredient. Pretty good.
Herbs, molases, leather and funky touch in aroma; honey, herbs, wood, spices, charcoal and exotic fruits in body; warming honey, wood tail.
Not fantastic, but a good rum for mixing. Not particularly funky.
Planteray is very proud of this rum, since it uses Barbados coconut (one coconut per liter). I found it to be good, but not outstanding.
Tasted July 14 2024 thanks to the Admirals Cain ❤️
Appearance: really dark. Oops, I suppose it is double black 🤣
Aroma: molasses and almonds? Mostly molasses
Flavor: molasses, ginger, vanilla
Notes: this is hotter than I expected, but it fades to the flavor of a rich gingerbread cake with a vanilla frosting. This might also taste vaguely like a malted waffle, but that's a slight chance.
This rum is interesting and unique. I think it would be quite tasty mixed with cinnamon syrup and coffee.
In the nipper bottle from Toys R Us Liquor for $1 thanks to Admiral Bill. Tasted on 7-14-24. Pours clear. Fake Bonny Bell Lip Smackers coconut aroma. Crazy sweet. Just horrid.
Tasted July 14 2024 thanks to Admirwl Bill.
Appearance: clear
Aroma: coconut suntan oil
Flavor: sweet, with a rough finish
Notes: there are much better coconut rum choices available
Deep caramel on the nose light peppery burn on the taste, leather on the finish with a lingering burn in your chest. Would rate higher but even though it’s 48% abv it feels a bit watered down on the taste.
