The solvent, even Petrol, gunpowder-boosted cane juice is very powerful, roasted with a honey, buttery, sweet spices and resin.Aeration removes the solvent notes.This reveals a thicker rum, with fermented, overripe tropical fruits like banana, pineapple with chocolate, perfumed like a brioche. It becomes fresh and dry, vegetal and with some herbal notes.
8,6:On the palate, still powerful, it has no alcohol burn. It is fruity with passion fruit, mango and spicy with sweet spices. Candied cane juice tastes like liquid honey, oily, first with tasty pastry notes, cream toffee, caramelized nuts, of some solvent and being a bit acidic with citrus very ripe exotic fruit, later vegetal notes with olive.
8,6:The finish is very pleasant consistency, thick, with lots of pastry such as yeast, nuts and kernels, vanilla, coconut, young toasted wood, in the end some metallic note shows up in the theater.

Can be consumed neat with least pleasure, would work in cocktails, but then white would do even better, offering genuine rum character. It's rum and caramel - not horrible, there are plenty of such generics, as is this the one. I see people suggesting this for cuisine - that's right, you would be sorry to pour good rum into dough, while this would be easy. Just that the price point should match, in my retail it is closer to 15 Eur, which can cover decent white.

Rich and opulent tasting with beautifully sweet raisin, caramel and spicy orange notes. Good length on the finish. Without doubt the best value rum I have bought, £40 is a fair price but a steal at the £33 that I paid.

Questo Rum non è per principianti. Bella forza alcolica, il naso è pungente e questo fa percepire come sarà sul palato. Sapori di cannella e punte di vaniglia, cioccolato fondente e caffè tostato. Una bella liquirizia che forse potrebbe stancare alcuni. Bella persistenza nel finale.

Grande Ron! Aroma pieno e di grande struttura, caramello e vaniglia, cioccolato, frutta secca, uvetta un po’ di prugne con sentori di ciliegia. Al palato è morbido e setoso, quello che esprime al naso lo ritrovi in bocca. MAGNIFICO!

This is very different to the 2011. This may be perfection. I will never forget the Peter Holland Masterclass with Mr. & Mrs. Rum! (They did not tell me to say this!)

Jésus! Another flavour bomb! Honeycomb, butterscotch, caramel. Savoury tho, so much depth, flavour for miles.

Nice tasting rum, smells nice aswell. Sweet but not too sweet. This rum was a nice surprise and i enjoy sipping this one with a bit of ice quite a bit. Vanilla and caramel notes, hint of sugar, well rounded.

7,5:On the nose there are vegetal notes with a slight lemony point, pure sugar cane juice is scented, agricole notes, flowery with geranium, litchi, mushrooms, olive, spicy, sea prawns, a sensation of freshness appears inspite of high degree of alcohol.
7:On the palate, the first attack is fatty, intense, full-on pure cane juice, litchi, then in the mid-palate, it is surprisingly silky, there are agricole, vegetal notes, some smokiness, a bit bitter and peppery. Quite balanced, but very strong. Goes nice as mixer.
7:The finish is medium, with sugar cane and spice, becomes more balanced.

I bought a large bottle of this (1.75L) since it's been a while since having a dark rum. I enjoy all rum on the rocks & this one tasted good to me. I like the heavier flavors & Bacardi is a reputable brand - I know it'll be a quality product. Good to change things up occasionally.

The coconut water seems kind of legit. Vanilla and icing sugar. Clear water pour. Very sweet follow through.

I don’t like them all, but this is my favorite Foursquare so far. Very shippable, light nut and oak. Maybe not a 9 as less complex than my true top shelf, but very nice nonetheless
