8,3:On the nose, the first impression we get is irresistibly devastating burst. The solvent, even Petrol, gunpowder-boosted cane juice is very powerful, roasted with a honey, buttery, sweet spices and resin.Aeration removes the solvent notes.This reveals a thicker rum, with fermented, overripe tropical fruits like banana, pineapple with chocolate, perfumed like a brioche. It becomes fresh and dry, vegetal and with some herbal notes.
8,6:On the palate, still powerful, it has no alcohol burn. It is fruity with passion fruit, mango and spicy with sweet spices. Candied cane juice tastes like liquid honey, oily, first with tasty pastry notes, cream toffee, caramelized nuts, of some solvent and being a bit acidic with citrus very ripe exotic fruit, later vegetal notes with olive.
8,6:The finish is very pleasant consistency, thick, with lots of pastry such as yeast, nuts and kernels, vanilla, coconut, young toasted wood, in the end some metallic note shows up in the theater.

Sharp technical, thinner, funky and little smoke in aroma; gentle start, glue and thinner and touch of molases in warming body; lasting heating tail with touch of smoke.

Mhoba Strand 151° vznikl spojením rumů Pot Stilled High Ester White Rum a Glass Cask. Oproti Strand 101° je lahvován při 75,5% alkoholu.

Aroma: Velmi štiplavé a pronikavé - výrazné ředidlo, tropické ovoce, třtina.
Chuť: Benzínová, těžká, hutná, třtinová. Nepřekvapivě velmi ostrá.
Dozvuk: Opálené exotické dřevo, třtina, tinktura, decentní kouřovost. Dlouhý.
Sladkost: 0/3
Ochutnán vzorek
Překvapivě o dost lepší než klasický Strand 101° - hutnější, voňavější a chutnější. 8+/10

Velmi silný a skvělý 👏

Bloody dane Kurt Strand made it again, making 75.5% ABV (!) rum relatively easily drinkable and full of flavor. IDK what blend of Mhobas applies here as lazy to read but this is like a combination of three good MHOBA rums - French Cask (similar ABV), American Oak (woody tones) and Strand 101 (funky smell).
9+ material to me as really borderline ABV to enjoy the flavour over dominant alcohol. Waste of time to mention the nose is fanstastic, full of esthers and - funnily - somewhat sweet.
This is a rum for men, mature drinkers and people who won't settle for an average.
The deeper I get the more bamboozled in love I feel.

Tento rum jsem měl možnost ochutnat díky výměně vzorků mezi přáteli.
Překvapil mne svojí silou, neboť jsem se nepodíval kolik má % a normálně se napil.
Naštěstí ochutnávám malými doušky, takže se nestalo nic závratného. Navíc mne varovala nezvyklá vůně tohoto rumu. Myslím, že toto je druhý nebo třetí agricole rum co jsem kdy ochutnal a tento druh rumů nejspíš není pro mne.
