The rum is then aged from 6 to 23 years at 7544 feet above sea level at 62 °F (17 °C) using the solera process. End of summer on a cruise ship, first time i drunk Zacapa XO. And I belive a long friendship just started. There might better and other ones, but always come back to this one.
Thick, sweet, beautifull sipping rum. Because of the high price i would rate the 23 a little higher though.
Ein Rum wie man es sich vorstellt. Etwas fruchtig, zarte Zitrusfrüchte und weich im Abgang. Er entwickelt sich toll im Mund und hält lange an. Close to perfection.
Nice, really nice sipping rum. Less sweet than Zacapa 23 which people often complain (slightly) about.
This is one my favorites to date. The caramel profile really stands out as well as banana and molasses. To say this is smooth is an understatement. It has a great, buttery consistency and great finish. If you have the opportunity to purchase a bottle, take it!

Es para mi una obra maestra mas fino q zacapa 23 y es mucho decir en nariz nueses,miel,chocolate,vainilla,madera, humo.suave como la cedas,bien balanceado y un final glorioso,de lo mejor q he probado.
Very good rim but not too far from the 23 yr solera.
Complex with a long after taste. Great with a cigar. A little pricey however the packaging is very classy. This rum is worth the price.
