Ron Zacapa XO Rum is produced in the highlands of Guatemala where it is distillled from fresh cane juice. The rum is then aged from 6 to 23 years at 7544 feet above sea level at 62 °F (17 °C) using the solera process. The solera aging process incorporates barrels that previously held American whiskeys, sherries, wines and Cognac
The unique Ron Zacapa XO glass decantur features an impression of a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle

Perfect value for money. A rum with many smells, including cocoa and citrus. Tasty and persistent on the palate, with a fantastic chocolate aftertaste. A rum to be tasted full
One of the best drinks I've had the pleasure of enjoying.
It does not taste with the same high quality as years ago. Better external packaging...
This rum is almost perfect!
Very soft of taste, truly a pleasure to drink
There are 2 versions, 2 of them are similar but little different. The flavour profile of old version is very nice with toasted cognac oak combind with cherry & bourbon oak (nice combination), honey, chocolate, caramel, butter & mild Zacapa botanical blend flavours. New version is very close but a touch less sweet and bit less rich & round overall... Zacapa XO compared to 23 has more intense & round flavour (balanced) in similar direction but for double price its a bit overpriced!
The color is much nicer and more ("mahogany like") than 23.
Drinking it neat was very pleasant, very smooth and the burn is not there at all. After taste is very, very satin like and complex with notes of honey, vanilla, cinnamon and citrus.
I did not drink it on the rocks or mixed because it would be a sacrilege.
Maybe a little pricey but hey every think that is this good costs.
Extremely good Guatemalan rum! Yes it's a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it. Wonderful flavor profile and extremely easy to drink!
Not really getting all that much for the price, but It's definitely a good one to have in your collection

It is rich with coffee notes and a little tobacco.
"The nose is sweet, dark chocolate with bursts of sweet citrus notes."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

En la nariz vainilla intensa, miel, algo de almendra?
En boca una sutíl viscosidad. Nuevamente vainilla, algo de durazno, algo de chocolate, algo de tabaco. Delicioso!
