Guatemala | Aged | 40% ABV | Column Still (1-4)

Ron Zacapa 23 Solera Rum was created in 1976 in the highlands of Guatemala, where it is distilled in a copper-lined column still from fresh cane juice before solera aging.

The 500 year-old Spanish Sistema Solera method is used to age Ron Zacapa 23 in white oak casks. This results in a combination of rums aged between 6 and 23 years.

The current Ron Zacapa 23 bottle features a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle.

I really don't know how anyone can give this rum a rating of 8. I'm gonna mix mine with coke...

If you are looking for a solid beginner rum, go for the Millonario 15 for example. Much superior choice in the same price range

Este ron era el que mas consumia hasta que probe el Diplomatico reserva exclusiva, es realmente un ron de calidad, es suave, tiene un toque dulce a vainilla.

Smooth, sweet. I like it better than the "thick" stuff like Port most days

For the price there are much better rums out there.
Way too sweet for me.

Great rum to drink straight. Zacapa is a 23 years old Solera

Great taste and smooth on the way down. As others have mentioned, however, this one comes with added sugar and low percentages of aged rum. IMO well worth my money and on my current short list.

En fin rom, men efter min mening en anelse overvurderet.

As the diplomatico, this is a very sweet rum. If you like the style, buy it. But don't pay to much. I've bought my bottle for less than 49 usd. And that's a fair price. More than that, its way to much.

This is very good value for the money. It is perfect for just those moments to sit and enjoy

Relatively smooth, nice color and presentation out of the cylinder it came in. This just isn't a rum I'd go for given the price range. I'm finding it hard for me to go back to when it's sitting next to some more refined choices.
