Guatemala | Aged | 40% ABV | Column Still (1-4)
Ron Zacapa 23 Solera Rum was created in 1976 in the highlands of Guatemala, where it is distilled in a copper-lined column still from fresh cane juice before solera aging.
The 500 year-old Spanish Sistema Solera method is used to age Ron Zacapa 23 in white oak casks. This results in a combination of rums aged between 6 and 23 years.
The current Ron Zacapa 23 bottle features a woven band around the middle, which is in reference to the original hand woven palm leaf petate bottle cover that covered the bottle.

If your are new to solera rums, this is a safe choice. If your use to them, this should be a standard on your shelf. On the sweeter side, and I guess there are additives in it, but who cares? If it is tasty it is tasty.
Toller Rum mit einer leicht würzig-süßen Note. Schmeckt auch als Longdrink sehr gut!
A really good rum on ice. Smooth easy to drink and we’ll worth the money
This rum is not worth The high Price , if you like sweet rum with a great smell is great but i did find out this rum is great with cola but not for sipping
A rum that has brought many people in to the rum community. And that for a reason! Sweet but not to sweet, and well balanced.
A safe card for most beginners and a good representative for the ”Spanish school” of rums. Always in my collection.
Not really my taste when it come to sipping Rum, but very good In a coctail 😊
Perfect rum for every ocasion, comfort woody taste with slight of fruit tones
Zacapa 23 is a very smooth rum. Great caramel color. Sweet nose with hints of vanilla. Satin mouth feel. Very light burn on the back end. Such a great sipper. One of my favorites.
Great color and taste. Nice looking bottle. Super smell with caramel hints
Actually quite dry and oaky.
"Flavour builds if you leave the rum in your mouth for a little longer allowing it to coat the palate."
Wonderfully intricate with honeyed butterscotch, spiced oak and raisined fruit...

Decanted, the rum displays a surprising body in the glass for something so apparently light, and has slow and strong legs down the side of the glass.

Deep rich taste and color. Nice aged taste that is like an aged whiskey. Purchased at Duty Free in Cancun Airport for a pretty good deal. While not cheap, it is a good value. If I get the same deal next year, will most likely pick up two bottles.
