United States | Spiced | 35% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

Bacardi Oak Heart...the cheap savior to our mixed drinks? I see a lot of bad reviews, but honestly, I have to say that I love it for a mixer. I've been on a kick of what I'll call a Jamaican Russian, White Russian, change out Vodka for Rum. The strong vanilla taste from drinking it straight is way overbearing and the complexity really doesn't go far from there. Maybe some oak...that's the selling point, but I think they missed the mark. I walked...err...sipped my way into this rum with lowered expectations, but came out surprised. In mixing this rum, it could stand right next to Mt. Gay XO as far as taste. Who would mix Mt. Gay though?
Look, it's $10 bucks. What can you expect. This isn't for the high rollers, but it's sure as hell good for the penny pincher.
Knappe, gestilleerde maar hippe fles! De kruidige vanillesmaak blijft lang hangen...
There are too much spices in it. Not really a rum, it is more of a spice-syrup. If you like the Kraken you will like this one.
Denne rom er kun til rom. Men det er den også god til.
Can't say anything bad about it but wouldn't be my first choice of rum but if offered a glass I wouldn't say no
This Rum is great in coke. It adds an extra flavour with its spicy taste.
Experience Barcadi Oakheart while cruising to Antigua, the taste of the rum was refreshing and enjoyable.
I won't drink it pure. My rating is based on a mix with a coke.
Mo Magic here, but i prefer it over black, gold or blanc
'oak barrels to impart a rich and smoky taste'
"Bacardi Oakheart rum review by The Ultimate Rum Shack"
Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. It’s a bit smoky and oily."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Bacardi Oakheart is tasty and needs to be mixed. It is better than Captain Morgan Spiced because it has less sweetness and more interesting spice profile. I can drink it all night.
