Aroma with hints of wood and cognac.
Taste is influenced by oak and vanila. Strong on the tongue and pleasant semi sweet finish

For $20 where I am, there isn’t a better sipper. Biscuity and banana bread type flavors dominate, and make an unbeatable mixer with coke or ginger ale.

I actually got this gifted to me by my sister for my 21st birthday. Great rum for cocktails or mixed drinks.

This is the second Plantation rum I'm trying (the dark double aged being the first) and am again positively impressed. Nice golden colour, a bit on the sweet side (not everyone's cup of tea) nice vanilla aftertaste. In its price range an excellent choice. Will buy again!

Belle couleur dorΓ©e. En bouche, une belle touche de caramel et de miel avec une finale peut aggressive. Un beau rhum d'entrΓ©e de gamme qui se boit bien sur glace. Γ€ ce prix, on en garde une bouteille Γ  portΓ©e de main.

Probably the least great rum from Plantation that I have tried, but it still beats most of the crowd. It has the signature plantation taste, but it's a bit "raw" compared to the others. I prefer aged ones over this, but for the price it was a good buy. I will definitely stick to the more expensive ones though,

The difference between 5 years and Grande Reserves is 5 years old you feel the ageing in oak and spices .Yuuumyy

Tastes good, smells good, can't flaw it. But it's not great.

At this price point, it's hard to beat. Good balance in the flavor profile - fruit, spice and some sweetness.

I want to like this. It's pleasant. It obviously has additives. It's sweeter than it should be.
