Matusalem Gran Reserva 15-Year

Aroma of vanilla and dried fruit
Caramel, easy to go to and mild. However a little bit spirited.

Simple pleasant rum with cask character with quite strong vanilla

This is a decent rum for a night with friends. Slightly superior to Pampero Aniversario. The expectations are high for a 15yo rum, and here they are not matched completely. The price is probably too high.

För mycket alkoholsmak för mig, men ändå OK! Det var denna som fick mig att börja dricka rom, men jag har så klart hittat betyyydligt bättre rom sedan dess:-)!

Tasty but a little too discreet for me. There are better rums for less money.

I find this is an ok Rum. Good for a change every now and then but not a Go To Rum.

Matusalem Gran Reserva 15-year rum is produced using a combination of rums aged on average 15 years and distilled from molasses using the solera process.

good avarage rum for mixing. worth trying but nothing special

It's not overwhelmingly sweet. I see what others are talking about with the ethanol taste but it is not overwhelming, either. It has a unique aftertaste - vanilla? - but it's long after the booze leaves your tongue. Would buy if it was on sale, probably wouldn't pay full price for a bottle.

Had much higher hopes for this one. Too strong and as such it is hard to detect any good flavors. However enjoyable with a coke but too expensive for this purpose. Still, a beutiful bottel! :-)
