Acceptable rum but very average, almost blend... A bit overrated but still décent entry level

Not to be misunderstood, I'm not a smoker so I might as well be wrong, but this is my interpretation of the feeling this rum gave me!
Solid character incorporating heavy oak, tobacco and smoked leather scents, smoothly blended yet remaining quite on the dry side.
Although I generally prefer sweet Rums, I found this one to be quite interesting, without actually being too much excited though.

It is the first rum i got as a present so hard to be objective here... I find this rum a pleasant and smooth one i could easily offer a sip of to my wife, too. I like it much more than the average rating here. It is sweet, not terribly so to my taste - a Diplomatico Gran Reserva or a Zacapa 23 Solera are sweeter. It has a caramel, butterscotch and vanilla scent, with a very timid barrell companion in the taste. To me a comfort rum i love to sip before going to bed.

At my taste very plain and flat, without complexity, finish too short, just a lot vanilla and sweeteness. Maybe a bit overrated but for sure will not again in my rumlocker.

I'm trying to enjoy this rum but am trying to figure out the flavor notes. It is quite smooth but may not be the best for taste. But I'm giving it time. Maybe if I let it breathe longer?

Surprisingy hand sanitazery on the nose. Strong, simple, straight. As someone said: like this had been thinned down with pure ethanol! Thick mouthfeel.
