Kraken Black Spiced

A decent spiced rum for mixing. It has a unique, sweet taste that is surprisingly good with coke, ginger ale, or things more adventurous. You can tell it's not a top shelf premium rum but it's not trying to be and it works.

Always having a bottle of this at home. Not as a good sipper as Captain Morgan Black Spiced but it's ahead as a mixer. The bottle is very nice as well.

I guess it's okay for its intended purpose (cocktails). Sipping it continually gets wearisome.

Sweet pleasnt taste, hint of caramel , vianilla good to drink on ice

This is a solid dark rum. But it has sharp bite to it, and it just can't hold up against better aged rums. Good for your dark n stormy, but I think a bit overrated

Spiced & somehow heavy, some sweet & maybe somewhat strange dont like it.

This rum gets really mixed controversial reviews. Some love it while others seem to hate it with a passion. For me it is a good spiced black rum which works great in a dark & stormy but you can try it neat as well. Yes the spices are strong but it is a spiced rum ya know?

This rum is comes with a great thick flavour with hints of dark chocolate and caramel. its not that sweet but very pleasant to drink. The bottling and marketing are also great. Id recommend to give The Kraken a try especially mixed with coke or in cocktails.

There are probably a few better tasting rums. There are a few stronger rums. And there are a few cheaper rums. But Kraken is probably, hands down, the best balance of all three. Its quality is unmatched in its price range.

Sweet with a buttery smell, rich body. It was more than I hoped for.
