El Dorado Special Reserve 15-Year rum is crafted from 15 to 25 year old rums that are then blended and married together in bourbon oak casks. Prior to blending the original batches are distilled using 4 unique stills - the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, the Port Mourant double wooden pot still, and the Versailles single wooden pot still.
The bottle of El Dorado Special Reserve 15-year was inspired by the the old hand-blown flasks used by sugar planters on the banks of the Demerara river.

Klassisk og dejlig rom! Dejlig rund smag, velbalanceret og et must i en hver romsamling. Til prisen er det et must have, og virkelig value for money.
Un rom cu multa aromă si gust care încântă plăcut simțurile. Alcoolul se simte foarte putin. Culoarea de chihlimbar este pusa in valoare de paharele concepute special pentru acest tip de rom. Sticla si paharele vin în aceeași cutie.
Heerlijk om rustig te drinken en nog betaalbaar ook. Lekker zacht, zoet en toch alle diepere smaken.
In der Nase zunächst ein Hauch von muffigem Holz, eher unangenehm. Dann holzige Würze, besser. Im Mund würzig, leicht holzig mit einer Spur Vanille. Eher angenehm zurückhaltende Honigsüße. Im Mund ohne Ecken und Kanten. Mittelschwerer Charakter und mittellanger Abgang.

Tons of licorice. A woodiness to it as well. Some banana going on as well. But mainly deep rich flavors. A very sophisticated type of taste to this one.
Really enjoyed this, so balanced and tasty. I like it better than 12 but find myself coming back to 12 more often simply because of the price.
This one just sets the standard. Great smell and taste.

I had been drinking plenty of rum in cocktails, for many years, and I even went to Cuba, and drank plenty of rum there, including the seleccion de maestros from Havana Club. Sure I liked rum, but It was not until I tasted this, the El Dorado 15, that I really got hooked. Great rum for beginners, great depth, juicy sweetness! I recommend this to anyone.
