El Dorado Special Reserve 15-Year rum is crafted from 15 to 25 year old rums that are then blended and married together in bourbon oak casks. Prior to blending the original batches are distilled using 4 unique stills - the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, the Port Mourant double wooden pot still, and the Versailles single wooden pot still.
The bottle of El Dorado Special Reserve 15-year was inspired by the the old hand-blown flasks used by sugar planters on the banks of the Demerara river.

A nice warm sipping rum, just a little sweet. A nice addition to any rotation!
This rum is a nice rum, with a good taste. It has a great sweetness without being too sweet.
Treacly badboy with some spice - excellent with figgy pudding...
I personnaly prefer the 12 years over the 15 years old especially considering the price point (about 55% more in Canada for the 15). IMO there's much better option at that price for a sip rum.
Very smooth, lots of flavour and properly aged for sipping.
Light brown butter and hickory nuts on the nose. A little hot up front and grassy, almost rhum-like. Lots more going on. Good stuff though.
Till I've taste this rum I conser that ED12 the most delisious rum. But this one turned out even better - less sweet and more testefull. Just perfect!
Not the type of rum I normally drink, but not bad at all. And I actullay prefered this over the 21y.
Full nose packed with dark coffee, candied orange, almonds, dark chocolate...
"El Dorado Special Reserve 15-Year rum review by Mike at Ultimate Rum Guide"
Has more oak and chocolate notes.
"It is initially very sweet, apples, bananas and rum soaked raisins but there are also some bittersweet plum like notes. The finish is spicy and fruity and long lasting."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

ED 15 years is definitely one good sipper on the rocks! It is sweet and gives you a nice smooth warmth after the first sip. Guayana has a very high standard rum history due to El Dorado!
