El Dorado Special Reserve 15-Year rum is crafted from 15 to 25 year old rums that are then blended and married together in bourbon oak casks. Prior to blending the original batches are distilled using 4 unique stills - the Enmore and Diamond Coffey stills, the Port Mourant double wooden pot still, and the Versailles single wooden pot still.
The bottle of El Dorado Special Reserve 15-year was inspired by the the old hand-blown flasks used by sugar planters on the banks of the Demerara river.

Its a strong Rum suited for Whiskey-Drinker. Not my cup of tea, as I like more sweet Rums.

This is one of the best ones at value/money ratio. Awesome aroma of vanilla, spice, fruit and oak. Rum is nicely smooth and balanced with little burn at the end. In mouth with flavours of vanilla, tobaccoo, oak and caramel. I can highly recommend this one to everybody.

I had many trips to Cuba and always enjoyed Havana Club 7 yo. Up until now I did not try anything else except Cuban rum. Once I've brought from there Santiago de Cuba 11yo and have found it so smooth and delicius compared to HC. Since then I've discovered world is full of different rums ). Had tried 12 of them so far. And I will rate them comparing to HC as the base rated 6.
Very nice rum, one of the best I have treid. Not too sweet and extremely well-balanced. Bought it for Β£32, what a bargain!
The box, the bottle, the ship.. you really cannot package rum any better than this. As far as flavor.. superb. I brought a bottle of the El Dorado 12 as gift for my buddy when we went out on his boat for a dive trip; I was not overly impressed (i have a new bottle of 12 to sample this evening). SO.. i went back to the store and scored the 15 - quite happy. I share this with those who drink whiskey mostly.. as I find this rum smokey and strong. It mellows in your glass and delivers time and again.
Both economic and beautiful, this is the first demerara many rum lovers should try.

In my opinion, this is the best rum you can buy that is reasonably priced. Smooth, easy to drink best value for your money.
