Smooth and sweet rum… nice color, oily, excellent sipping rum.. caramel, toffee, nuts and also you can feel sherry casks.. very good choice.

This rum has jumped into my top 4 with a super smooth finish and great aroma

vůně - ve vůni takové uzavřené - prim hraje dubovost a stará kůže, dále pak opečený toast, lehce probleskující sušené fíky a sherry
chuť - v chuti už je to úplně jiné, hned ze začátku se otevře plná sladká rumovost v kombinaci se sílící sherry chuťí - rozinky v čokoládě v kombinaci s jemnou skořicí, oříšky, kůže, dubovost na pozadí
dozvuk - v dozvuku rozinky, opečený toast a trocha koření
hodnocení - ve vůni hodně dřevité, ovšem pak přijde pan PX a dějou se věci - velmi dobrá kombinace rumu a sherry

Triplo processo di invecchiamento per questo rum: 5 anni ai Caraibi, 5 anni in Spagna (3 anni in botti di sherry 'Dos Cortados', + 2 in botti di sherry 'Pedro Ximenez').
Colore ambrato molto scuro, gusto dolce, morbido con note di cioccolato e vaniglia.

Dos Maderas 5 X 5 is worth your time, unless you are stuck on the harsher rums, which I used to be, give this one a try. It is smooth, and has its own complexity of flavors. I understand there are 2 aging processes is different barrels, that add to the flavors.

Kořeněná vůně s tóny dřeva, tropickým ovocem a melasou. Velmi dobře pitelný, ale není příliš sladký.

A rich, yet mild and well-rounded rum. Nice sweetness, but not too sweet. It seems light, with a playfully rich complex taste from the different casks. It has such a tantalizing effect on the taste buds. It makes you smile and close your eyes to explore the shifting taste sensations engulfed in mild, balanced, sweet rum.
A very special, highly recommendable sipper.
