Dos Maderas PX 5 + 5 rum is made from a combination of rums from Barbados and Guyana. It is unique becuase of its triple ageding process where for 5 initial years the rum is aged in the Carribean in oak casks. Next PX 5 + 5 is aged in Spain for 5 years in sherry casks, and lastly for 2 more years in even older sherry casks.
The Dos Maderas family of rums are produced by Bodegas Williams & Humbert, which is a well known Spanish winery founded by Sir Alexander Williams in the late 1800s. The region of Spain where the winery is located has a climate perfectly suited for wine and is known as Europe's wine cellar.

Vraiment très sympa original et cet arrière goût de Porto est délicieux et se marie divinement bien avec le rhum
Like the name suggests, lots of good woodiness. Love it.
The taste with cherry isn't bad, but I prefer something else.
Schmeckt nach Karamell, hat viel Aroma, fruchtig, süß, würzig. Langer Nachhall.
The smell is faint and mostly of alcohol. But after 5 minutes it gains a pleasant sweet odour with a hint of walnut.
The taste is somehow dissapointing. A brief hint of sherry but fades to quick.
I just like the smooth sipping qualities at room temperature. Even better chilled. By the way, check the paper label on the back of the bottle with barcode on it (U.S.). Under title heading "Dos Maderas" look at the first word on line three...is that a misspelled "the"? On my label, the first word on line three is spelled "teh".
Ja den er lidt skarp i smagen kg lidt spritten. Vil tror man fik en bedre rom til prisen da mange andre i samme pris niveau er markant bedre. Bruger kun min til drinks nu. Vil umiddelbart ikke anbefales.
Incredibly smooth for such a dark rum. First sip is a bit of an assault on the taste buds. Much stronger than expected, but then smooths out and you taste it at the back of your throat. Smells of molasses, sweet as expected for a dark.
Second glass is even better.
Very rich, almost creamy foretaste ripe with sweet caramel, followed by a nougetty finish that lasts on the tongue. Very smooth and leaves you craving more.
Rich, plump raisins dominate the palate.
"Quite drying on the palate so the mid palate. A slight oakiness and a little touch of the oak barrel."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Tasted. Very delicious rich rum, which brings sweetness and taste of sherry /port vine. Light sweet rich taste with barely any burn, nuts, chocolate, grapes in taste, very sweet smell. Great dessert sipper.
